I am a New Zealander currently living in London, and am looking at cycling home and hope to leave around April/ May 2010.

I had a mate lined up to come along but he has recently decided to go home due to not finding a job. So now I am looking for someone to fill his shoes, as I do not fancy making the journey alone!

I estimate the trip will take roughly 6 months to complete and will be no less than 20,000km. I propose to cycle through Western Europe and down into Turkey. Ride into Iran and then fly from Tehran to New Delhi. From there I will resume cycling and cross India. I then would look to fly from Calcutta to Bangkok. Then cycle down to Singapore. From there I would fly to Australia. Cycle down one of the coasts (probably the east) and then fly back to NZ. So four flights in total, missing out the "dangerous" regions.

I would be interested to hear from anyone serious who likes the sound of this and thinks it may fit around thier travel plans. Also you would obviously need to be pretty fit.
